Registax 6 problems

During the reprocessing of some occultation images from last year, I've run into some problems with registax 6 stacking the images. I'm only stacking two or three because I didn't take very many but I want to get the most out of the data I have. The stacked images have a segmented artefact and I don't know how to fix it. The only thing I've changed is lowering the quality so it can be posted here(the file size was too big otherwise)
It was with the usual equipment, 130mm F/5, 6mm eyepiece, olympus PEN EP3.
All help is welcomed.

I get similar missing pieces at the edges of my pics sometimes. I was
told that Registax was running out of memory.

1) wich is the size of files are you using ? The registax doesn't like files very large. For example, it doesn't work with the file size from Canons.

2) How are you positioning the dots for alignment ? Many issues has source in this distribution. Different of AS!2 they can not overlap areas of action.

The images are 11.6 MB each but I stacked some 34 MB images earlier today no problem so who knows...
I usually get it to automatically position the alignment points but for this image it was putting them all in the haze from the moon, not on any actual objects so I manually set alignment points on saturn and the moons limb.

To identify who or what is causing the problem you must do some tests.

1) the files of 11.6 MB is the same format as 34 MB. For example TIF, FITs or AVI ?

2) try to use only 3 or 4 files with 11.6 MB that seems to be the best frames. Choose them with visual analyse. Verify if the problem occurs.

3) try to reduce the size of 11.6 MB to 50%. Verify if the problem occurs.

4) try to use the automatic align points. Verify if the problem occurs.
