HP Laptop question

I managed to pick up an HP elitebook 2560p for a ridiculouly low price on eBay,
I5 processor, 4gb RAM, 128gb SSD drive, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit system, all for $139, works absolutely perfectly, and fast!
Being me, I have to investigate all the options, so I've now got an Expresscard to USB 3.0 dapter installed,
another 4gb of memory on the way and a caddy so I can plug a second SSD drive in to it!
But there's one slot that I can't figure out, and I'm sure somebody here will have the answer.
Beside the slot for the WLAN card is slot/area I don't recall seeing before, any ideas?

Thanks

Chris

Maybe one of these manuals has the answer you are looking for:

Thanks, the first thing I did when I got the laptop was to download all the manuals,
including the maintenance manual, but none of them refer to this particular bit of the internals.

Thanks anyway!

A closer view of the bit I'm interested in.

Its a module slot for a 56k modem.

They might be used for WWAN (3G/4G) now.

Thank you!

In other words it's not something that's going to do anything for me!

Cheers

I am glad to see you've found out.
Unfortunately manuals are often pretty basic. I wanted to find out if my new tablet has a compass or a gyroscope and the manual contains no information about the sensor! So I had to find out online...
