Shipping mirrors

What is the best way to pack and ship primary and secondary mirrors interstate?

The original boxes are long lost for these 23 year old mirrors.

One more question!

How about couriers?

I can call a bunch of courier companies for shipping quotes, but are there any ones with a particularly good or bad reputation for shipping these delicate items?

(Perth to Sydney, if that matters)

I'm not really impressed with that OpticWaveLabs shipping method, at least for anything over 8".

This is better:

If you are shipping a mirror off to be re-coated it will almost certainly come back in the same container you sent it in.
What might be acceptable packaging for the old coating might not be for the new.
