Synscan AZ Slowww Sleww problem

Hi guys, any suggestions would be appreciated at this stage.

I've been having an issue of late with my scope. Scope details as below:

Sky-Watcher 10" GoTo Dobsonian.
Current HC Firmware: v3.36
Current MC Firmware: v2.08.98

I purchased this scope just under 2 years ago now and it came preloaded with HC firmware v3.08.

Issue:

The scope upon approach to it's target, slew speed slows down dramatically, to the point where it takes minutes to arrive on target.

Before I was accustomed to the scope to:
1: Slew quickly to the approximate area and pause
2: Quickly slew a few degrees to a couple of reference points closer and then engage slow slew and settle on target.

This would normally take less than 30sec.

However now it:
1. Slews quickly to the approximate area and then suddenly engage slow slew (like it's slowly slewing to its second reference point before it can settle on target. (it now consistently does this every time, even initially on the second alignment star)
2. After a few minutes (I've waited longer than 5 before) slew quickly again to another reference point maybe one or twice then settle on target.

What I have been doing is flashing HC firmware when this has been happening to try and remedy it.
The initial v3.08 worked fine in this department when I first got the scope. After a while it started having this issue so I would flash v3.35(and others prior to this one), which seemed to work initially but ended up doing the same.

So I would flash back to 3.08 and it would work for a little bit and start it again. I then upgraded to v3.36 and it worked great first time around, but second outing it started again. I then flashed back to 3.08 and it was still there, then back to 3.36 and it was still there.

All this has led me to believe it hasn't been a HC firmware issue...and perhaps a MC firmware issue...?

I attempted to flash the MC firmware with the AZ firmware v2.09 off the website, but the firmware loader prompted that it wasn't the for that Motor Controller. Is there another version I could try?

I'm a little lost now what to do or how to fix this.
At this stage the GoTo function isn't that useful.

Do you think it might be a Motor Control issue?

Thanks guys.
Regards
Dale

I had been doing more hand controller firmware testing with 3.35 and 3.36 and the problem was still consistent. I did my third factory reset and it was still there. Tried to load the MC Firmware again, wouldn't go on.

All my testing indoors reproduced the issue every time.

I took it out tonight for a viewing night with some friends. I expected it to be a failure with this issue, but it didn't do it at all....

It's unpredictably inconsistent.
I don't think its HC firmware issue since it's happening on all versions I'm trying.
Hardware in the HC?
MC firmware? I don't have another one to try out...
