I'm processing a big Veil mosaic and decided to try some experiments for generating hue variations. Here's the result of a little CIE L*c*h* manipulation of just the Ha. I kinda like it I hope it doesn't blind anybody...
Wow - sunglasses on. Certainly unusual Rick. I've never seen the veil like that before.
Thanks, Steve. I've never noticed an example of someone manipulating hues like this before. Not sure yet if it's a useful technique or just a dumb idea.

Last summer (sorry winter for AU) I took the Veil in Halpha but not so spectacularly.
Yes, it's just plain old Hydrogen Alpha with some hue variation based on brightness.

Thanks, Geert. It does have that look, doesn't it.
That's rather fun, and quite artistic. It reminded me a little of the slow-motion videos of exploding hydrogen balloons, which is somehow ever so slightly appropriate, even if the processes are very different
Holey moley Rick, you gotta stop using this 'High Power' stuff or youll wipe out the universe - it one thing that miners are extracting out of planet earth with desastrous effects - but you extracting all this light is insane
