cool!

why did i take so long to put a fan in the bottom of my scope?

I have no idea why i put this off for so long but there ya go, thats me...

i pulled apart the power supply of an old computer i had laying around and carved up some very this MDF (too keep the weight down), its held on with velcro. i already have a power source for it so its read to go in a matter of just 2 hours! (excluding measuring).

pictures to come in teh next few days cause i cant be bothered taking them now

Now that you have a fan, Vingo, you can take advantage of it on hot summer nights.

When the Summer nights are hot and sticky, put your face in the front of the scope. Coolish air gently blows up the OTA and is quite refreshing.

Works for me.

A cooling fan just ain't for the Telescope!

Well I wonder who will do what hard core PC over-clockers do (forget air, water, peltiers, phase change or vapour chill rigs - your basic -80 rigs) go striaght for liquid nitrogen down your dob and see how cool your vision is - through the nitrogen mist - before your primary explodes!
