Spectrometer Tutorials and LED questions

Hi!

First of all I used my SGS to take a full spectrum of a fluorescent lamp on low resolution (which shows pretty much the full spectrum) and am now using ISIS (the program) to analyze it. I have also got a full battery of high resolution images (around 7) with each providing 750A coverage. I was wondering if there was any special process required to stitch them together (I use Maxim DL, but slowly going into IRAF). I was also wondering if there were any guides out there that provide step by step instructions on how to take stellar spectums so that when I first go out I have a sense of what I am doing.

Secondly I was wondering if the white led on my phone could be used to create a flat of my grating/optics.

Thanks for any help,

Luke
