This page can't be displayed

Is the website set to ignore you when trying to open a number of pages within a short timeframe?

I often browse the New Post/User CP/Images pages and right click on links of interest to open in a New Tab - then gradually work through all the tabbed threads.

Is it me (Windows 8?) or IIS that after a couple of new tabs I typically get "This page can't be displayed" errors in Internet Explorer (11)?

Refreshing later usually works after a few presses, but its not unusual for me to miss out reading something I meant to from just giving up and closing a tab - never know/remember what it was that interests me at that point. Would it really leave the site too vulnerable to robots etc if you were allowed a few more pages at a time?

I get this too. It must be the server they are using. You just need to keep refreshing until it comes up. I sometimes refresh 4 or 5 times before it finally loads.

I use Chrome (and previously used Firefox) the same way and have never had a problem, Rob. I'm using Win 7...

I don't have that problem using Firefox either. I often have 10 or more IIS tabs open since I middle click my way through the list of unread posts before viewing any of them.

I use FF and I open a lot of tabs at once. The only time its a problem for me is when my satellite internet connection is slow. I don't believe its a website issue. It may be IE or it may be your internet speed or bandwidth.

I always thought it was my old XP box to blame, but the new Win 8 machine with 32 GB RAM etc still seems to do it. Telstra cable broadband connection.

Guess I should try Chrome again some time - do have it installed as a fall back, but have never really bonded with it. My Micro$oft brainwashing has been too complete
