We've recently moved house, and the new place doesn't have a suitable
place for a pier, so I'm considering going back to a Dob. Thus, my Meade
10 inch is for sale.
This Meade 10" LX50 SCT is in very good condition, bought from a well
respected IIS'er about 3 years ago and used for two nights on my pier.
I have added a number of extras including:
Kendrick DewZapper heated dew shield
GSO 10:1 Crayford focuser
Homeyer Cradle with Losmandy D-Plate
It has the standard finder, and all caps.
The Homeyer cradle is a piece of art, and is as solid as the proverbial
masonary outhouse. It's VERY heavy duty. A weighty setup sure, but
my EQ6Pro has handled it no worries. No mount included.
This scope gives lovely crisp views.
All this for $1,200.
I would sell the OTA without Dew Zapper, GSO focuser, or the Homeyer cradle for $900.
The OTA with Dew Zapper and GSO focuser, but without the Homeyer cradle, $1000.
I will not sell the Homeyer cradle individually unless the OTA sells first.
Pick-up would be preferable, in Sydney's Northern Beaches, or I can meet
you within a reasonable distance. If you would like it shipped, I can do
that, it would be very well packed. Courier would be at the purchaser's
expense, and risk.
