Lupus 3 Cloud-Bernes 149 in Scorpius
Hello again,
The second photo from my July dark site trip to Coonabarabran.
The Lupus 3 Cloud in Scorpius, also called Bernes 149.
550 minutes total exposure comprising 36 frames of 20 minute and 10 minute exposures.
These were captured over 3 very cold but clear nights....I love that place!
Darks but no flats.
Televue NP101, 101mm, F5.4 Refractor.
QHY8L OSC CCD.
Skywatcher EQ6Pro Mount.
WO 66mm Guidescope.
QHY5-II Guide Camera.
Guiding with PHD2.
Capture with EZYCAP.
Processing with DeepSkyStacker and Photoshop CS2.
What do you think?
The photo is here

Thanks for looking.
Ross.

Very pleasing, Ross. The reflection nebulosity wrapped around the throat of the dark and kinky snaking nebula is very photogenic. (secretly reminds me of the "never give up" drawing of the frog with its hands around the throat of the heron that is trying to eat it). And a very deep photo. Well done.

Hi Ross,
That's a beautiful pic & so well processed with:
golden stars, delicate brown dust, a nice blue/violet center & the dark snake through it.
It looks really professional.
cheers
