Anyone with a Takahashi mount having trouble connecting Skyx ?
I haven't used the program for a while but wanted to use Maxpoint through Skyx last night. Prior to setting everything up I made sure I had updated everything including windows {to 8.1}. Skyx recognized my mount but couldn't complete synchronization for goto operation with the error message......"failed to unmarshal dispatch pointer".....popping up. Tried the SB support forums with a few mentions of the problem and it seemed it could be related to faulty USb-232 serial adapter drivers. Had no problems before with the ones I have.
I have ordered a Tripp Lite USA-19HS serial adapter which seems to be recommended amongst the astro community, hopefully that may work unless someone else has come across a solution......{might look at Staratlas pro}
Despite that had my first night with MaximDl , very impressive right from guiding, image acquisition to image processing
