Just enjoying going through some galaxy images I haven't yet processed. Sure they're short but that just leaves the intrigue of what longer exposures would produce
Impossible to pick a favourite I think
PS. Not shown to scale - each cropped for it's own aesthetic appeal.
that is a great idea to do roger, i might keep them for reference in a folder on my desktop
i always get too stuck wondering which will be the "nicest" to photograph!
you image galaxies at f/10?

I used to have available PDF's (and printed equivalents) with ~2000 for just that purpose Pat, will probably post on IIS when I get that happening again, as I've been working on an improved version the last year, on and off.
F/7.5 - about 2180mm focal length, or 0.84 arc seconds/pixel.

that would be fantastic if you could do that for us roger, we seem to be getting less and less time in perth either because of both inclement weather or moon, so your great catalogue would certainly save an awful lot of time wondering!

Thanks everyone, I'm very happy that you're all enjoying them so much

Thank you Roger
Amazing what short exposures can bring out

Dave, I often think that when looking at my Clear/Luminance frames - ST8 pulls good data. But then I go to do RGB and BAM! there goes my sensitivity and the RGB frames turn out weak and noisy ... anyway... I cherish the detail in the L shots
