Anyone here from Bali

Hi everyone,

I'm heading to Bali for a week and I can't help but think about the stargazing potential. Whilst I'm sure it isn't great, for me on a personal level it'd be something really special.

I can't seem to find any star gazing groups in bali (nor any observatory), so I'm curious, anyone keen to show me the skys or know of any friendly glass owners in Bali ??

Sam
(Heading there for week from this Sunday).

Hi Sam, ive been there a few of times, and I think I glimpsed Venus through a gap in the clouds once. It was probably an aeroplane, though. Even when it's clear it is severely light polluted and plagued by haze.
I did have a quick look for any astro-themed diversions while I was there, but found nothing either.
I'd take a good book on astronomy instead, lie by the pool, and read it.
Regardless of your age and motive for going there I'm sure you will find plenty to do in the evening!
cheers,
Andrew
