We could solve the plutonium decay problem and reduce it to a few centuries if you burn the actinides in fast reactors.

If you believe futurists like Kurzweil, we've have hit the technology singularity this century, and from there, it's only short matter of time until a future 'us' converts the entire universe into computing technology...
