Another "almost" eclipse shot from Sydney

The picture says it all really - it was basically cloudy with light rain throughout totality but I grabbed this after the main event had passed unseen.

5DmkII + Canon 70-200 f2.8

I thought the darkish line on the moon between light and dark was an artifact due to the way I stacked the exposures but it appears in all the raw exposures.
Anyone have any ideas about this?
A sensor blooming issue perhaps or is this actually a part of the eclipse?
