Blood Moon at TenChain Hill

The cloud did close in badly but there were some sucker holes now and again. It made focus difficult. And after such a scorcher of a day there was a lot of turbulence as well - those are my excuses.

Peter I thank you.
I was under cloud and getting poor net reception.
But listened to it on the radio.
And so yours are the first images I have seen..so they really do look good..
I was not going to image I just was going to sit outside and enjoy it.

No joy here, either. Well done, Peter!

G'day Alex.
Thanks. You got me thinking - the idea of following an eclipse on the radio. At first it sounded a bit like the "tree falling in the forest" thing but of course it really hasn't been that long since the radio was all we had. I remember clearly listening to my first Saturn C5 rocket liftoff way back when and being awed by the event - well before ubiquitous instant visuals.

So thanks for both the appreciation and the reminder of simpler days.

Peter

some classic shots there - all the more memorable because you took them. yeah sure there are some really clever and superb images out there, but they don't have the memory of the event like you do
