Vixen Sphinx SXW Mount (only)

Purchased this mount approximately 2 years ago and initially had a lot of fun using it. Then work time requirements grew and I had less and less time to set up and instead increasingly found myself using my simple AZ mount. Now I find myself using it perhaps once a month and thus not enough to justify keeping it.

The starbook is something special and I always thought it worked fine with the old software. However, following news of the latest software upgrade I installed v2.6 and have to admit it has much more accurate gotos.

- Starbook controller and cables
- Car Jack power supply
- Polarising glare screen

(All as pictured below)

I also have the original Vixen cardboard box with fitted polystyrene for shipping

Asking $600

Please send PM only if interested and thank you for looking at my listing

Just to further reiterate what Profiler has mentioned (and to the thread he linked that I wrote), I have now extensively tested the new Sphinx SXW firmware on my own SXW and can report not a single Dec jump, spike or non-commanded movement in over a 6 hour tracking session - all sub frame exposures exhibit no evidence whatsoever of spiking.

In fact, the SXW's now track and guide SO well I am using mine for long exposure (>10 minute sub) imaging with my 100mm refractor.
