IC5148 Grus PN

SPX350 F4.5, ST10XME, Astrodon Ha5nm OIII 3nm.

Been having a bad winter with wind blowing constantly sometimes up to 40 knots (last week). After guiding problems I had to give my venerable EQ6 a strip down and regrease and its working well on the rare calm nights.

Managed to get a hint of the OIII outer halo with strong stretching and contrast adjustments but will need 20hrs total to make it obvious. Not much colour in the annulus, NII would certainly have come in handy.

Ha-3hrs
OIII-6hrs.

Thanks, John.

Nice work, John. That OIII halo is faint! I have been working on it on and off since June. I'm up to 48.5 hours of OIII and really must give up on further acquisition and process what I have...
