Sunspot 904 - 19th Aug

Hi

Well, today, I’ve enjoyed the best seeing this week for observing and imaging Sunspot 904. It’s still not perfect, but those image destroying high frequency seeing cells are fewer, with mainly smaller amplitude undulations that allow more of the small stuff to be resolved.

Here is a single frame from today, 19th Aug. No Registax processing, just grabbed a raw frame from the avi with Virtual Dub and saved into Corel PhotoPaint with a mild unsharp mask. It is unlikely that I will be able to stack any frames, as the details morph from frame to frame.

Cheers

Dennis

Why thank you H0ughy!

Hmm, not too sure; certainly before the money runs out, but I'm having a very personally rewarding time away from the daily grind. I got called in one day a couple of weeks ago to investigate a problem and I must say, it was quite an alien feeling going back.

Cheers
