Guest Speakers and Workshops for IISAC2007

Hi all.

I'm starting to arrange more details for IISAC2007 (January), and one of the items on my agenda is Guest Speakers and Workshops.

Peter Read from SDM Telescopes has already accepted an invitation, and will give a talk on "Building a Large Aperture Dobsonian - some secrets revealed".

If you'd like to give a talk or workshop, or know someone who you think may like to give a talk, please PM me with details.

It can be on any topic - including imaging/image processing, observing, double-stars, occultations, ATM/DIY, comets etc.

Both professionals and advanced/experienced amateurs are welcome. Talks and workshops should be approximately 1hr in length. A computer and data projector will be available, so material can be brought up on CD/USB drive and displayed.

Timeslots available are:
- Thursday PM
- Friday AM or PM
- Saturday AM or PM

Thanks in advance.

Next guest speaker onboard is Anthony Wesley (Bird), who will give a talk on "The Importance of Thermal Cooling, and How to Build a Cooling Mirror Cell".

Thanks Anthony!

If you belong to an astro society, it would be great if you could pass the info around to your club, and see if any of your members are
a) interested in coming
b) interested in giving a talk or conducting a workshop

Thanks!
