I DETEST false/misleading advertising

Don't we all?

Bought some microwave soup to take to work to just heat and eat on the run - not the el-cheapo either. Usual advertising spiel - "Proudly Australian"...."...decided to bring the finest tomato products to the Australian market..." blah blah blah.

Read the fine print. Made in Thailand. So, I assume by this, this Australian company does not like Australian tomatoes, and imports them from Thailand or imports the generic relabelled $0.05 a pop stuff and marks it up significantly.

Patriotic.

Seems no one can be honest any more.

I totally get where you're coming from.
I bought one of those flavour packets for Slow Cookers. Sweet soy and Sesame flavoured.
I got it home, then realised that in fact I have to add the Soy Sauce and Sesame seeds to it.

Oh, been there, done that.

Bought some Stroganoff flavouring once. Didn't read the packet (in a rush).

I failed to see you needed to add sour cream and all other ingredients. Basically, it was a sachet of tomato paste, only twice as expensive as a normal sachet of tomato paste.

Deceptive advertising is the same as telling lies.
On a different note:

Over the years I have sampled this wine many times. Its a light hearted side of deceptive labeling.

Check the link to read the label.

I bought an "authentic" Laksa soup with prawns and while not misleading it only had three prawns the size of a thumbnail.
