Celestron CG5-GT / Advanced GT

I've recently upgraded to an NEQ6 Pro, which can support more weight, so this one has to go. Has some minor cosmetic wear and tear (as pictured), but works as it did when I bought it new from Andrews Communications 1yr ago.

Comes with tripod, Nexstar hand controller, accessory plate and two counter weights.

There are two slight issues with the mount, present when I bought it. First is that the right directional button on the hand controller sometimes likes to stay pressed in after you use it. Pressing it again fixes it up no problems. I could have sent it back under warranty but it didn't bother me enough to go through the hassle.

The other issue is that I've misplaced the front altitude adjustment bolt, which I removed as these mounts cannot go down to our latitude with it in place. Celestron recommends removing them, as I did when I purchased it. I'll see if I can find it before I sell it anyway for the sake of completeness, but there's no guarantees. The mount can still be adjusted easily without it in place (more easily, really, since you don't need to loosen the front one to tighten the back one now ;-)

Brand new these go for $999, I'm offering it for $500. Pick up in Kilcoy or Brisbane.

Please contact me by PM in the first instance.

Had a few enquiries but no takers just yet.

I'll consider freighting at the buyer's expense, but please note that this is big and heavy, so it's likely to be quite costly.
