My Eastern Veil Nebula...a classic that I was missing!

Just an image shooted from my backyard in two nights in spite of the moon, 32 calibrated frame with flats and darks, processed to maintain cleanliness and give a 3D effect to the subject, without overdoing it ...

I cropped the image a little bit to enlarge the subject, in the middle of that sea of stars you could loose the details of weaks "hairs" that lies in this portion of supernova remnants.

Calibated and stacked in Iris - processed in CS5

On Astrobin you'll find the full-res version, and more tech data.

thanks for visit, comments and criticisms are welcome, although I like It so much!

Hello Elio,

A beautiful photo.

It does have a 3D look.

You must have great skies from your back yard!

Ross.

Nice image, Elio. Maybe some minor registration problems noticeable in the star halos?

Cheers,
Rick.

Hi Elio,

One of the meanings of Allie is a friendly association.

Cheers,

Justin.
