Saturn and Luna, handheld.

I know that these are not on par with other wonderful images put here. But I thought it could show beginners to astrophotography what can be achieved with minimum and cheaper gear. Saturn shot taken last night through a 5mm Nagler with only slight contrast and crop edit. The moon taken through a 13mm Nagler. Both used a Canon IXUS compact camera hand held.

Given that you used a compact camera through the eyepiece I'd say these shots ARE on par with others on the forum. The saturn shot is not the quality of Quark's efforts to be sure, but the fact that you have any image of Saturn through the lens is worthy of an honourable mention. And the moon shot is crisp and interesting in depth and tone.
