Rcw 133

Rarely imaged, this very faint lobe extends from the emission nebula SH-212, is a good sized object for a 300mm Pentax lens/ST-X10ME combination.

HaRGB 5.5 hrs Ha, 1 hr R, 1 hr G, 1 hr B.
Higher resolution here.

Great shot Steven. You are really good at finding these rare items. It amazes me at times how many objects there to be imaged.

Greg.

Thanks Greg,

There is a lot out there that is untouched by amateurs.
I also use shorter FL lens to survey objects in NIR and NUV as potential targets for my BRC-250 and 300mm Pentax lens (although NUV and camera lenses are generally a bad combination).

John,

The Pentax 300mm f/4 is a fantastic lens. No image sharpening was performed.
Once the interface issues to the ST-10XME were sorted out, the lens has performed admirably.

Thanks Steve.

It certainly helps having an excellent lens and imaging at 300mm FL.
I've been experimenting at using unblended Ha luminance data which helps maintain contrast in the final colour image.

Regards

Steven
