Saturn anticyclone July 26th

Hi All,

Imaged Saturn July 26th in good seeing, the best extended session of good seeing I have had in 2014.
This session was over 2 hrs 27 min's and I captured 111 Gb of data. Of great interest, I have captured the anticyclone remnant of the Great Storm in multiple data sets over several hours. I measure it to be at L3 277 degrees Lat +43.1 degrees. I have added this data to my spread sheet and the resultant data point fits the curve of my drift chart rather nicely. Looking at my data from May 25th 2014 when I last captured this feature, it has drifted 88.6 L3 degrees in 65 days which is a drift rate of 1.36 L3 degrees / day; clearly the drift is slowing down from it's 2013 rate. This fact is well supported by the flattening out of the drift chart curve.

I have uploaded a considerable body of data to PVOL with 6 742nm IR data sets at approx 22 minute intervals, 6 R channel data sets at approx 20 minute intervals & 5 RGB data sets at approx 20 minute intervals over the session.
I note that although the anticyclone is well seen in the R channel data, and RGB data it doesn't show up in IR. I have also uploaded to PVOL polar projections of IR, R & RGB data, the anticyclone is seen in the R & RGB polar projections.

Regards
Trevor
