Antares and the Centre of the MW

Here is a wide shot of the centre of the MilkyWay + Antares, taken on one of not many cloudless nights in Perth this winter.
Cam was 60Da sitting on Polarie, lens was 30mm@F3.5 and Iso was just 200 for all 27 frames 5min each.

that is another great shot ian, hard to believe you are only around the corner from me and a few k's from perth....... super!
and you still do not use an lp filter?!
my 60da sensor seems to flood after about thirty seconds!

No, I don't use LP filter.
My place comparing to other places close to the city is pretty dark and I don't take any shots facing NE-E-SE.
On top of the above, on most occasions I set the Iso to the lower end, in this case it was 200. It helps a lot ...

i did notice your low iso ian, i had not thought of doing that so i may give it another crack
