Hi Rob,
would a NEQ6 fit on this? I normally put a 1500mm Newt on the current NEQ6.

Cheers

Hi Greg,

No an NEQ6 would not fit as the head is machined for a HEQ5 Pro. To get a head machined for a NEQ 6 would probably cost about $200.

If it is not asking too much would it be possible to see some photos of where the HEQ5 head attaches to the pier? Just so I can see what sort of effort is needed to fit an NEQ6 to it.

Cheers

Greg,

The head has a 60 mm hole for the HEQ5. This would have to be machined out to 66 mm to accept NEQ6. Not a big job.

I am just about to go to bed and I will send you some photos tomorrow.

Greg,

I have attached two photos of the HEQ5 Pier Head and two photos of an AZEQ6 pier head for comparison purposes. The AZEQ6 Pier Head I believe is the same as the NEQ6

Cheers
