Finally got a chance to take some images last night. Really just intended a quick session to make sure everything was working before setting off to astrofest. Seemed like such a nice night I gave some 15min subs a try for the first time in a long time. So here's the cats paw 4x15mins Ha. I didn't have any 15 min darks but will probably aim to get some before departing.

Full res version here:

Thanks for looking.

Looks like everything is working well, Peter! Good luck with the weather at AF. I'm planning to be there for the last 4 days.

Cheers,
Rick.

Cheers Rick. Nice to have the flattener working well at last. Also happy with how the EQ6 is running so I'm going to take it instead of the G11 this year. I'll be there for all except the final night.

Great pre-party test shot, I can never understand those who turn up to a star party to do astroimaging with un-tried and tested gear and spend most or all of their time trying to get it all to work in the dark under light restrictions

Have a great time at Astrofest Pete...always seems to be a good run of clear nights.

Mike

Nice and tight, mate.

Why don't you take 30min darks for your library? PI scales them for you.

I probably will - just haven't needed to so far.

I get so little time these days to take an actual photo I want to make the most of the time up at Duckadang. I've also had so many updates to the software I'm using in the past 12 months and no way to test it except under the stars the last thing I want is to find it doesn't play nicely once I get there - no internet connection means a long drive if you need to download anything.

Agree totally with all that. I have only taken my gear completely remotely three or four times and I could only have done it with 100% working system...otherwise it would have driven me spare
