Six day animation of Vesta and Ceres

Hi all,

The Brisbane weather has been kind enough to allow me to capture the dwarf planet (1) Ceres and minor planet (4) Vesta on each of the last six nights, as they converge in Virgo. The image posted here is a stack of images taken on each of the 6 nights. Both Vesta and Ceres are moving towards to top of this image, and are converging as they do so. For reference, the bright blue star near the top of the image is Zeta Virginis.

I've also put these images into a nice little animation (1.5 meg) which can be seen here:

And here's a better quality animation (3.5 meg):

It's worth getting out to have a look over the next few evenings, if you haven't already!

Cheers,
Stephen
