M20 / M21 in LRGB

Hi everyone,

Here is my second attempt on M20, 1st was one year ago when my system suffered heavy reflection and vignetting; since then I have used a flatterner, it seemed does the trick.

Data was collected on 2 separate nights early June. 1st night: 38x10min of L, 2nd night: 9:12:10 x 10min of RGB. I used PI and PS to process.

Thanks for looking
David

David,
Technically speaking the picture is perfect , but I am not convinced about the choice of the colour (red) of the interstellar dust ..

Thanks Ian, yes, I was too concentrated on M20 and paid little attention in the interstellar dust, now what do I suppose to do with it?

Thank you StrongMike, it is already a great achievement to have no criticism from you this time

sorry...well then, it is a fine looking image already buuuut if you would like some suggestions ..it does look a tad bi-chromatic red-blue and as Ian mentions the surrounds do look a bit too red....there you go, criticisms very minor ones which if you tweak, I recon will make the image even better

Thanks Ian and Mike for your suggestions. I will tweak M20 Red-blue and the surrounding clouds to reduce the strong hues and contrast. Is it the common problem with novice imagers? Excitement leads to overcook.

No not at all, it's a good looking image, our opinions are just that so give'em a try and see what you think, if you no like...well, that's fair enough

Following StrongMike and Ian's advice, I have tweaked a tad surrounding dust and M20 bicolour, look somewhat more natural I guess.

There's so much red in the background I'd have sworn that you'd used H-alpha as the red channel...

I like your repo, it's still a reddish background but not so intense as it was. In my opinion the blue of the Trifid blends better now with the background too.
Well done.
