C/2012 X1 Linear and Helix Nebula Animation

Hi All,

Tried to make an animation of the comet C/2012 X1 Linear while it was close to the Helix nebula (thanks Kevin (cometcatcher) for alerting me to it) from light-polluted back yard in suburbian Melbourne.

http://vimeo.com/97817725

131 x 2 minute subs, Stellarvue SVT80 triplet, iOptron ZEQ25, Sony NEX5N (modified). Getting rid of the gradients and neutralising the background in all 130 frames for the animation was a challenge...

Single sub is attached.

Cheers,
Alex

Brilliant work Alex. You did well to squeeze them into the same field of view.
