Made where

I became aware that Vixen is made in Japan.
Is this for all their model scopes or just some select models?

I am aware Takahashi is of course.
What other brands are made in Japan?

not all vixen is made in Japan -they have a small no of scopes made in china -i believe they put a letter designation (f) on some scopes to notify of this
televue apparently use mostly japan glass but are made in US (some taiwan source for ep elements)

I've used many Vixen 80Mf scopes for PST mods....
In the UK I was told by the supplier that the 1.25" focuser version was made in China, but the 2" focuser version (same name) was made in Japan.......

The suffix Vixen uses tells you where made. With an F, it's not Japanese. With an S, or SS, WITHOUT any F (as there is an SSF, like the NA140SSf) are Japanese made.

The SSF complicates things, as I believe they are Japanese optics in Chinese tubes etc.
