Clouds

What do you do while waiting for the clouds to clear?

You take pictures of the clouds!

Here is a sequence of images over a period of 40 minutes from last night. I had to cut almost half the frames and severely squash the images to get it under 150k.

The original was 1280 x 960 and was 12 MB in size. It's a pity because you can see a lot more stars in that one.

This is what happens if you just stack all the images

I ended up taking 22 x 1 minute exposures over a period of 45 minutes.

I just resized each frame in Irfanview and then used AdGIF to produce the animated gif.

I look forward to seeing your version.

That's an excellent animation Andrew. Wish I'd thought of that while waiting for the clouds to clear.

If you think this small version is good you will love the bigger version. Does anyone feel like hosting a 640 x 480 @ 4.9 MB version?? I don't have my own webspace.
