I'm selling my Skywatcher 152mm (6") F/12.5 (1900mm focal length) Maksutov-Cassegrain. It's a nice little scope for planetary, lunar and brighter/smaller deep-sky observing/photography, but that's not really my thing.
This scope is about 5 years old and was previously owned by Barry Gerdes of Sydney.
Features:
2" visual back with separate 2" GSO Crayford-style fine-focuser, with 1/10 fine adjustment and adjustable tension.
2" diagonal (clean!)
9x50 finderscope (great finder!)
25mm eyepiece
Front lens cover and end cap
Vixen/Skywatcher style dovetail
Original packaging and box (I'll double-box for transport).
Weight is ~7 kg.
There are a couple of tiny flecks on black paint that have fallen on to the main mirror - but these won't affect the view in any way.
As can be seen from the pictures, the paint is a bit scratched in places but scope works fine and has given me some lovely views.
These scopes sell new from Andrews Communications for $1200. I am offering this at $460 plus freight.
