qhy5 and astronomik filters

Hi all, I just got a qhy5 lii and some filters to go along with it. However, the filters don't screw in. They are 1.25 inch. Is there some adapter I need to get?

From what I've read, there is a small extension tube/nosepiece (should have been in the box) that will screw onto the QHY5L-II, the open end of which is threaded for 1.25" filters.

ahhhh i see, the issue is i didn't get the premium pack, the standard camera doesn't come with it. Thanks

Well, the Standard package (that I've seen advertised) should have the 1.25" adapter/tube included. The Premium package adds a bunch of other stuff.

Check again what came with your camera, and what was advertised from your particular vendor.

Where did you get yours from, anyway?

I got it from gama electronics. I looked again and it definitely did not have any adapter. It does look like the 1.25 adapter does come with the premium kit if you look here http://www.gamaelectronics.com.au/QHY5L2.html

OK, it became standard in Jan 2013 (that's over a year ago), according to the QHYCCD web site. O/S vendors are selling it included.

You might have got some old stock palmed off, otherwise it sounds like a rip off.

I purchased a QHY5L-ii mono from gama just before Christmas and I had the said nosepiece included. Was standard package.
Have you tried contacting Gama to see if it may simply have been missed?
