Linda Ronstadt can no longer sing

Hi,

Did you see this in today's Herald? I had not previously known she had Parkinson's disease

http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/...410-36dw3.html

This is tragic news for an old fart like me who has loved her powerful voice and country rock renditions, right from when she recorded Mike Nesmith's "Different Drum" in 1967.

It says there that Parkinson's first showed up in her voice, robbing her of range, timbre and pitch control. It has evidently progressed quickly too.

All the best to her and others suffering this malady.

Sad news indeed. I wasn't a big fan but my brother was and her music was a constant during my youth...
