Mars, Saturn and Venus 10th April

SPX350, PGRFlea3, Baader RGB, IR742, UVenus filter. Mars/Sat F39.1 Venus F27.5

Variable seeing started to settle for only one good Mars set, it took a while for the cloud to move so I was out a bit later. Saturn only gave one good set too before avg seeing settled in for the night.

I waited up till 6am local time for a Venus try with IR742nm and Astrodon UVenus filter combination - Venus is 20" and 58%phase. Wind stayed away fortunately, I found the UV filter hard to focus owing to the noisy image. The images needed strong sharpening to show anything. I think this shows Venusian cloud rather than sharpening artifacts.

Mars 1309hrs UT
Saturn 1312hrs
Venus 2000hrs UT

Thanks, John.

That’s quite some rare trifecta you have there, John. Bravo on pulling an all-nighter, it really paid off with these quite astonishing images!

Cheers

Dennis

Excellent John - really like your Venus shot too - how do you process your Venus images?

John.

Very nice John
Loved Saturn and Venus, but thought Mars just a tad over processed IMHO
Still way better than anything I have managed this year
