Last minute call for scope for Wiley Park Girls' High (Sydney) this Tuesday

This Tuesday night, 8th of April, Wiley Park Girls' High is holding an astro viewing night. Myself and a couple of others will be taking our scopes. But I've been asked to call for a few more as we could be too light on the number of scopes out on the field.
Things are scheduled to start for the students and their families from 5:30, and looking to finish around 8:30. The early start is to allow for some viewing of the thin crescent Moon before nightfall.
We will setting up our scopes on the school's oval, and can arrive at the school from 4:30. We can drive onto the oval & leave them there for the night's event.
I apologise for the terribly short notice. If you are able to come and share a scope and your knowledge it would be most appreciated.

My wife works in the school system & by law nobody is allowed on school grounds with direct student contact until a working with children POLICE CHECK is completed.
I appreciate your comments, but there is school staff on duty for the event. They take responsibility for the people who come onto school grounds. This has always been the case that I have been invited to do these astro viewings. If you have any doubts, you should ask the school principal where your wife works for the full situation as no events can be conducted without their approval. This event would not be carried out & approved by the principal of Wiley Park High if this was not the case.
There are also high school teachers here on IIS that I have held astro viewing nights on their school grounds with the complete approval of the school principal. This also includes the night I did an astro viewing at the school my wife works at.
Police checks are only mandatory for those people who will be unsupervised with children. For people who are invited onto school grounds these checks are not mandatory as they will be under supervision of the staff.

In NSW it's called a Working with Children Check and has nothing to do with the police. Very unlikely you'd need one Alex and the teachers would have said something if you did.
Would love to help out but I will be away next week. I have taken my scope to my kids' primary school a couple of times and enjoyed it a lot.
As it turns out, my schedule freed up with my work hours for the week I finish at 2PM so I will be able to be there bar some kind of emergency. I'll bring my 12". Weather permitting.
i havent even bothered to get my scope out in weeks because of the bad weather. The clouds and rain are sticking around for another week to come. You may get a brief moment of clear skies if you stay up all night. good luck
