Rho Ophiuchi Wide Field and first Saturn

Here we go, a wide field of the Rho Ophiuchi region and my first attempt at planetary imaging, Saturn!

Tips and comments appreciated, especially regarding Saturn.

The wide field was taken with the Canon 1100d, 10x3 minute subs, ISO 3200 (ouch) 85mm lens, F5.6

Saturn, 8 inch f6 newt, 2x barlow, Panasonic GX-1, 1 minute video (around 1500 frames) stacked in Lynkeos with lots of unknowledgeable slider pushing.

Cheers
Jo

Hi Jo, I found with some quick testing a while back that on my mount I could get away with 10min subs at 70mm focal length without guiding when using a DSLR. Might be worth seeing if you could extend those sub lengths and reduce your ISO down a bit.

That's pretty crazy (in a good way).

Lovely shots Jo. I especially like the Antares region. I'm quite jealous of that one. I don't think my skies are dark enough to get anywhere near that level of detail, having 6 streetlights within 100 metres.
