New trans-Neptunian object discovered?

Well, it could be an artifact in the ALMA imagery, but this could be a Solar System object. It could be a trans-Neptunian object beyond 100 AU, perhaps maybe even a brown dwarf or super-Earth. There's no way to know at this time however, so discuss here.

Fascinating - illustrates how much we don't know about what's beyond Pluto in our own solar system.

seems a little early to say on this one. my understanding is that their FOV was incredible small and they picked up a couple of signals with very little searching. If this turns out to be more than a data anomaly, this would suggest that either these researchers were unbelievably lucky or there are thousands of these objects waiting to be discovered ... until further data i would err on the side of caution.

The data on the 445~GHz line was strong but the other data is problematic. So will have to wait until more data is collected, then work out where about it is coming from.
