ISS and the Moon - Adelaide 7th Mar, 2014

So close, but not as close as some. South of Adelaide actually had a transit, but yet to see anyone's images from there. It seems most people just missed out, like me..

After this pass, I trained the telescope onto the Space Station and followed it by hand, looking through an eyepiece, with my 8" f/6 scope. WOW the detail you can see visually is amazing, it sparkles and glitters as it moves along, so cool...

This is a composite of 2130 frames, stacked in StarStax and final processing in Photoshop. Taken from the movie out of my 1100D.

Well done.

This caught us by surprise tonight, I was watching from Black Forrest but it was more of a graze than a transit.

Anyone further south see it?

Yeah I saw it down at Port Noarlunga but it was about a moon diameter away (opposite side to what you saw Andrew).
