Mars 6th March

SPX350 F38.4, PGRFlea3, Baader RGB. RGB 1436hrs UT.

Pushed the 5xPowermate to 8.5x for tiny Mars (fl 13,500mm). Seeing looked good after collimating on a star, with the Airy disc I could see a central dot and arcs around the star. Once I found Mars the surface detail looked good but seeing was variable and deteriorated as Mars climbed higher.

Thanks, John.

That is a really sweet image John,

Very smooth, low noise and great colours.

Have you though about resizing it to a larger size?

I have updated with a 1.5x bmp image. I was just disappointed with result so posted what I got, I normally resize later but forgot this time.

John.
