Moon Landings

Good Morning all,

37 years ago today Armstrong took his famous stroll. Lest we forget manned spaceflight's greatest exploration.
And to all those who think it was faked.............
how foolish are you

Glenn

It's amazing to think about what was achieved 37 years ago and the technology they used to achieve it.
Thanks for the reminder Glenn.

It truely was amazing. Seems only like yesterday.
If you ever get the chance to read Gene Krantz's "Failure Is Not An Option", You will be left wondering how they ever pulled it off.

John,
I've read a number of biographies over the years (I recommend Cernan's and Collin's). I recently got Armstrong's but haven't read it yet.
I have the highest regard for what Krantz and his people achieved. Is Gene's book available locally, or is it another trip to Amazon?
Glenn

I waited 4 months for it Glenn through Dymocks. You may have more luck with Amazon.
If you can't get it let me know and you may borrow it after Petra has read it.
I must get Cernan's and Collin's, I believe it's a must read.

Thanks for that read!
I remember getting out the Mini (small car - you may know it) in Marionville Road, Edinburgh, EH7 5TX,Scotland,UK on the evening of July 20th or 21st 1969 and looking up at the moon and thinking that there were men up there!!
Very nice feeling to be part of the human race back then.
Can't say the same right now
Cheers and Peace
Doug
