More joops

Another defiant imaging session which flies in the face of all logic and reason

Wish this wind would bugga off. Wish my 3x Televue barlow would arrive.

Here's another Jupiter. Gotta get as many as we can with the big bloke racing closer to the sun.

The usual: 9.25, toUcam, 2.5x Powermate.

Slighter better result than last night, I think.

Nice result Matt, it's looking very good and when you get a night of good seeing, you'll be more than ready!

Looking good Matt! What proportion of frames are you stacking under these conditions. When seeing is poor I end up just using the top 10-15% only (Ken have you tried that?).

cheers,

Hi Matt,

That is a fine image with the conditions you had.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

Yeah Asi. Seeing was its usual 3/10

It's also been fairly windy the last few days which has added insult to injury with the jetstream.

Rob - I was capturing at 10fps for 90 seconds. Ended up using about the best 100 frames. So yeah, it falls within that best 10-15% range.

I might also add that this image is straight out of Registax without any further processing.

Might be worth at least doing an RGB split in AstraImage?

Thanks again
