NGC 3247 and surrounds

I believe this area is designated NGC 3247.

Taken on a rare clear night in Brisbane a week ago

11 x 10min subs , W.O FLT110/reducer @ F5,6. Moravian G2-8300 and Astronomik 12nm Ha filter

Processed in Pixinsight. I've tried to bring out the detail without going overboard.

Large version here www.astrobin.com/77160

Comments and suggestions welcome

Thanks for looking, Geoff

Nice Geoff, perhaps add some OIII and SII, weather permitting of course.

Looks nicely processed.

Cheers

Nice one Geoff, really nice.
See if you can get at least a little OIII and then you can make a fake RGB which will at least give the chance of colour.
Like your composition

Thanks Stuart and Allan for the kind comments.

I have a OIII filter, will give it a try out as soon as the weather clears

Well done, Geoff! I've been away for work and it doesn't look like I missed many clear nights but I'm glad you managed to grab some photons.

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Rick,

You are correct, pretty average skies of late. Tonight's looking good..except for the moon.

Cheers Geoff

Very well done. Noise free for such short exposures. Remarkable.
