NGC 5128 to NGC 5090, mosaic.
Hi,
I've been planning to do this for a while, but it was a real dog to get rid of the gradient between the two images. The image with NGC 5090 at centre was taken in less than ideal conditions.
8” F/4 astrograph , baader type coma corrector,. HEQ Pro 5 mount, orion mini guider.
Camera.
Unmodded Cannon 1100D. Cooler box.
2 x 11 x 8 minute subs ISO 800 , darks, flats and bias frames applied.
Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker . Processed in Photoshop 7 and Olympus background subtraction tool kit.
Cheers,
Justin.

Very cool framing
The big and the small...
"My name is Julius and I am your twin brother"
"Oh, obviously! The moment I sat down I thought I was looking into a mirror."

Good result! I like the different approach you've taken to frame it and the surroundings, well done!

I'm enjoying mosaics, but this was by far the most difficult with the gradient between the two images.

Looks great! Are you going to stretch the mosaic to Omega C?

Probably not with the 8" astrograph, might try it with the ED80 once I get a focal reducer.
Cheers,
Justin.
