White light full disk mosaic 1 Feb 2014 from the Doghouse Observatory

Taken today with DMK51 through my 127ED and baader solar wedge, it comprises of 14 images (600 frames per video) to make the white light mosaic. That sunspot group AR11967 (aka AR11944) is massive - several earth diameters (must learn how to do a scale reference)

the seeing was affected by intermittent cloud, wind and cruddy turbulence, not good for solar viewing

A large version can be found here

did i mention the seeing was cr@p

and here is a version with a scale to indicate the size of the sunspot complex

Yes it does . And if for nothing else, to read the cool stuff on our page . So have you joined already? What's taking you so long?
And if I'm able to convince you to join, this now means I can easily sell ice-blocks to Eskimos .
This is such a shameless, mega IIS fb page plug .
Sorry people, back to topic .
David, please, keep up those terrific illustrations- they are so educational. .
