Seeing drives us crazy

Need a rant...was enjoying eeexcellent seeing, perfect guiding (+/- < 0.1 pix) and pin sharp round dot like stars until 1.30am...then just as the moon was about to set and in a matter of minutes the wind changed to an easterly and picked up and the stars became all big, round and fuzzy . Naked eye looking overhead the sky became full of stars that aren't twinkling but positively swimming.... ....Oh well, I am collecting RGB data now as it doesn't matter if that is crap but lucky I am inside a dome or I'd simply be in bed now

I know the feeling. Some nights it's just not worth it. Others... Back on the 6th the seeing was as good as I've ever seen it anywhere, anytime. It was like being in space. Literally perfect. I'd love to be able to dial up a few more of those nights.
