A new bird around our home

I saw this bird yesterday morning that I have never seen before around our home.
A bit of a check showed it is possibly a Banded Rail.
Please correct me if I am incorrect.
It was listed as a bird that lives near Lakes, Streams and Swamps.

Quite a beautiful little visitor to our our area.
At least I think its a visitor as I have not seen them here before. I estimate it to be around 20-25cm from beak to tail.
2 of them were scratching around in the bushes in our Garden and then I saw their little black chick who was running around with the parent birds close behind.

A couple of quick snaps with a handheld camera, as my better camera's battery was on charge.

Taken with a Samsung ST50 Hand Held 12 MP camera.
